Now known as “Frozen Gold” on popular resell websites, the demand for Choco Tacos has increased after Klondike announced in late July it was discontinuing the popular summertime treat.

Some people jumped at the opportunity by listing the now-rare ice cream snack online for hundreds of dollars.

As of Wednesday morning, Facebook Marketplace showed several Choco Tacos for sale across Texas with prices ranging from $20 for a box of four to around $150 for a few cases. Other sellers offered to sell the novelty product for more than $1,000.

Jamie Ward in Baton Rouge, Louisiana made a Facebook post offering to sell a single, unopened Choco Taco for $1.3 million.

“I bought it from a mobile/on the run last night. It was their last one,” he wrote in the description of the listing. “You can already tell they’re not restocking because it was in the box with the Klondike bars. It was transported less than 4 minutes from the gas station to my house where it has been stored in sanitary conditions below 32° for the last 24 hours and will remain in the freezer until it is sold or eaten.”

Fans of the frozen snack do have options though when it comes to getting Choco Tacos at a fair price. They’re still available through Instacart, albeit in limited quantities. Walmart and Safeway also have finite boxes of Choco Tacos available for pickup and delivery.
